Amy Karr has rejoined the Southeastern Developmental Team as the Director of Operations. Amy initially became part of the SDS staff in 2004 as the Supported Living Services Assistant. After one year she became the SLS Manager. She worked closely with staff and clients to ensure the safety of the clients and ensured clients were happy and independent in their homes and community by coordinating and providing needed services. She maintained this position until February 2012 when she left the agency to care for her children. Shortly after leaving Amy became a member of the SDS Board of Directors. Amy served on the SDS board of Directors for 5 years.
Amy believes that through each of these opportunities she was able to build a knowledge and understanding of the Developmental Disabilities Field. They have offered Amy firsthand experience in many aspects of the business and systematic processes entailed in maintaining and operating a productive agency.
As the Director of Operations. Amy works to ensure that all SDS clients are offered the proper services and supports from the Case Management Department and the Service Agency programs they are a part of. Amy looks forward to working with the management team and staff at SDS to create some positive changes and assure that our clients are receiving the best possible care and that the dedicated staff members are performing at their highest level.
