AFFILIATES AND CCB'S

ALLIANCE COLORADO

Alliance Colorado is a statewide nonprofit association of Community Centered Boards (CCB's) and Service Provider Organizations (SPOs). The organization is dedicated to providing leadership and advocating on behalf of its member organizations and the individuals and families they serve.

Through its work in public policy, state legislation, developmental disability initiatives, and the promotion of best practices, Alliance Colorado serves as a valuable resource for organizations and individuals involved in Colorado's Community Centered System of developmental disability services and supports.

NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR DOWN SYNDROME

NADS is the oldest organization in the country serving individuals with Down Syndrome and their families. Founded in Chicago in 1961 by parents who chose to go against medical advice and raise their children with Down syndrome at home, the organization helped pave the way for future generations. Their pioneering efforts have made it easier for individuals with Down syndrome to be accepted by their families and communities, develop their abilities, and work toward greater independence.

NADS's mission is to ensure that all individuals with Down syndrome have the opportunity to reach their full potential in all aspects of community life. The organization provides information, support, and advocacy to individuals with Down syndrome and their families.

SPECIAL OLYMPICS OF COLORADO

Special Olympics is an international organization that changes lives by promoting understanding, acceptance, and inclusion among people with and without intellectual disabilities. Through year-round sports training, athletic competitions, and other related programs, Special Olympics provides opportunities for children and adults with intellectual disabilities in more than 180 countries to participate, develop their skills, and reach their potential.

Founded in 1968 by Eunice Kennedy Shriver, Special Olympics has created a model community that celebrates the diverse gifts and abilities of every individual. The organization provides ongoing opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities to realize their potential, improve their physical fitness, demonstrate courage, and experience the joy of sports and the value of friendship.

NATIONAL AUTISM ASSOCIATION

The National Autism Association (NAAs) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with autism and their families. Through education, advocacy, and community outreach, NAA works to improve the safety, well-being, and quality of life of individuals affected by autism. The organization provides resources and information to help families navigate challenges, access support services, and better understand the needs of their loved ones. NAA also promotes awareness and acceptance of autism while advocating for programs and initiatives that support individuals with autism and their families.
