Children & Family
Tackling the Issue
The Family Support Services Program provides, case management, financial assistance, emotional support, referrals and other supportive services. Family Support’s purpose is to support families so their developmentally disabled family member may remain at home.
This program operates with the guidance of the SDS Family Support Council. Monthly meetings are conducted, with agenda and minutes provided in both English and Spanish. Fundraisers, picnics and parties are provided for the families throughout the year.
The Family Support Program also maintains a resource library providing both English and Spanish materials. Our Council is comprised of family members, professionals in the community and a consumer.
